What's in the Box

Whats in the box
What’s in the box? You decide.
A PlanetBlue scene is defined inside a logical “box”. The box doesn’t have to be square and can be any shape or size. For purposes of this illustration will just look at a simple box. All of the objects that go inside the scene are actually inside a box. The objects are positioned and anchored to the floor, walls, furniture or any other item you define. This keeps everything tightly anchored to the scene.
As you move through the place using augmented reality the virtual objects need to be anchored to the real space you’re in. This is done with an anchor object. The anchor could be a photo image on the wall, a unique feature of the space or a QR code. It can be virtually anything that is uniquely identifiable. When entering the space in AR, you simply “lock-in” on the anchor object, then the rest of the items automatically attached to their correct position inside the space. You’re now in a real world, augmented with AI objects
The box may be anchored to the planet using its GPS location. By doing it this way, we only need to anchor the box and we don’t need to anchor every single item in the box to the planet. This creates a more stable environment as you move through a real life scene. It also simplifies a lot of other things with respect to layers and linking boxes together.
