Lights Camera Action

PlanetBlue uses a theater metaphor when you enter the space. Lights camera action! The scene is retrieved, then it’s rendered and the Actors start their assigned “on-stage” behaviors. That means each object that has an onstage

behavior assigned, will start executing that behavior. Some objects might start waving at you, some objects might start doing work. Some might just sit there as decoration while other might report to you information about business status.

The spaces may be rendered with a light weight style, using 3-D files and surfaces. Some may be rendered using Pixar USD files. USD files take longer to render, but are absolutely fabulous in terms of the detail and quality. In either case, scenes can be updated by dragging objects around, adding new objects from the backpack to the scene and constructing the scene in real time. Of course you have to be authorized to change the scene because some scenes are for public viewing only, and are not changeable by the visitors while other scenes are private and secure.

You can easily set the security and decide with scenes are public and which scenes are private. If you’re creating a personal space to share with friends and family, you may limit access by groups.
